Hello dear friends!

I am taking the summer off! Well, almost...
Being an artist for a living involves two separate and distinct full-time occupations: making art and selling art. There are times when I can juggle both, cutting my blocks during festivals, printing in between and matting and framing in a mad rush just prior to the upcoming festival.
But once in a while my creative mind says firmly: "enough!" This summer is one of those times so I am holed up in the studio making art. Sometimes I come up with something new, sometimes I just revisit old pieces and finish up editions so I can get the blocks ready for the fall season.

ANNOUNCING A SUMMER CELEBRATION!

This summer I am in a bit of a "cleaning" mood, well, that and I think I get a little bored looking at the same pieces over and over when I'm in selling mode. Drawers are getting full, old editions need to be closed, and most of all, generous collectors must be rewarded even when I'm not "out there" in the elements.

So! I am announcing the First Annual Summer Celebration! and making selected pieces and collections available at hugely discounted prices. Since my mat cutter is on vacation in Fiji, all summer selections will be unmatted/unframed. These will be older works, sets of related works, and works that are near "retirement" or that I don't often bring to art festivals for one reason or another, mostly the inevitable space limitations of the 10'x10' booth. They will change weekly through July and August, and I will place the ones that don't find new homes at auction in the discount online store. Who knows! I may just discount your favorite woodcut...
