QUEST: 1,000 Woodcuts
Last 2008 Update - 254 Completed and Art Giving Season!
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Hello dear friends!
I had a grand
time at the Goldwell Open Air Museum this past October and made me
some huge blocks to carve. I started on them already and plan on working
on the Goldwell Adventure, a book of art, photos, essays, haikus and
woodcuts through 2009.

Here is a peek at the place, that's me in pensive mood in the foreground...hmmmm...I
wonder what I will have for lunch today...
Seriously, I'm working hard on my blocks and will have an exhibit with
all the goodies in 2009 some time. In the meantime, the project will
be updated here as I go through the thousands of images and carve the
huge blocks. I will be making several photo albums of all the wonderful
views and hope I captured the peace and quiet of the amazing desert. http://1000woodcuts.com/projects/goldwell_residency/index.html
I've also been working a little on newer pieces with
cork as the color block. Cork is quirky and tough to cut and work with
but I'm getting to know it better. I like the watercolor-like effect
of the colors. Check out the latest:

Stemming from my residency at the Goldwell Open Air Museum,
I decided to join the "cause" and help the place along for the next foreseeable
future. To that end, I placed some bargains in my ebay store and will donate
15% of all sales to the Museum. How can you beat that?
