QUEST: 1,000 Woodcuts Update
December 2002 - 180 completed
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Wow, what a year! Very exciting and very exhausting...next year I vowed not to do so many out of town festivals. I'm ready for a full year of mostly Vegas events.
To begin with, the big news is that I will be shown
solo at the Valley of Fire State Park Visitor's Center through the month of
July 2003. Yes, it will be hot, but that will give everyone more time to enjoy
the cool air conditioning inside the Visitor's Center while enjoying new and
exciting woodcuts.
Here is a nip of next year's schedule; be sure to check
for updates as I have been known to change the schedule: http://www.1000woodcuts.com/exhibits/exhibit.html
If per chance you can't make it to any exhibits, there is always the web site. The main developments there include a few new pages in the methods for my artist friends and the new Best Deals links, which will take you to...my best deals.
I get asked a lot if I take visitors into my home-studio. Well, the short
answer is that, yes, I do. But I don't have my own work hanging in the studio
and very little around the house. The best way to see most of my work in person
is to go to an art festival. Other than that, I spend much time keeping the
website up to date so all my work can be seen and purchased on the
web.

New Stuff:
Mostly due to my new venture in the Valley of Fire, get ready to see
some new landscapes this year! I won't abandon my figures altogether, in fact
I have some planned (and some already cut and ready to print).
Here are the latest collection of little figures:

As usual, you can check the chronological progress of the 1,000 Woodcuts project and browse through all the latest here:

And if you ever wonder what artists do to in our spare time, here is an exciting "little" project that's just a bit crazy but should be a lot of fun:
