Process: This is a "puzzle" piece, in which the block was sawn
in 3 pieces prior to printing. Each piece is inked separately with its
separate color, the block is assembled at press.
Image: Done for an exchange among printmakers
all over the world. The theme was "Letterforms." It strikes me, when submitting
slides for competitions and exhibitions, that the visual art is often obscured
by all the instructions, rules, and regulations. I decided to look at this
with a bit of humor and represented the concept with a slide mount instruction
diagram, like those that come in many of the prospectus.
Outside the exchange, there are only 2 proofs and one extra print.
