Desert Wildflowers 2005

This year we had rain from December to March, which may not be a huge deal to the rest of the country, but here in the desert we just "ain't" used to water falling from the skies. I suppose the changing weather and the spectacular clouds and lightning displays would have been more enjoyable if my living did not include art festivals. But a little water never hurt anyone and somehow the most salient memories of this unusual and wonderful spring weren't the soggy times but the rainbows and the incredible gift of an endless carpet of flowers.
